A mythical sculpture warns of the high cost of social ascent.
For Molly Smith-Metzler’s new limited series Sirens, we created an ornate, sculpted world where characters are entrapped within letterforms and encrusted with gilded sea life; a modern, twisted take on the mythological and a vision of the destructive power of desire. As the sequences proceeds, the Sirens become more monstrous and laden with gold in an inescapable struggle.
